We have only just been put into groups and - as we did not know each other very well - we proceeded to get to know one another. Alethia asked us all general questions about our subjects, hobbies and interests and put together a rough version of our crew profiles. Also in this first meeting we brainstormed ideas for a production team name. We wanted something that sounded professional so we took into account other real production team names and soon came up with our own; Mindblown Productions. Andre and Richard then were able to jot down some ideas for a logo design which we will continue and hopefully finish tomorrow. I was able to arrange and put together everyone's summer research so that it would be a simple task to post everything on the website once Richard had finished setting it up.

The first thing we did today was take our individual and group photos. We had planned in advance to each wear an item of black clothing as we thought this would be appropriate. We were unable to edit or post these pictures once we had taken them due to PhotoShop not running properly in the college today, but we made use of our time well. Andre had drawn out a brain for our logo and scanned it so we were able to see a draft of our first logo idea. Each of us gave input and feedback and we have made some changes and improvements to Andre's design - hopefully once PhotoShop begins to run we'll be able to finish it. Today we also continued posting our summer research onto the website and we found a way to attach mp3 files to our page. Over the weekend, we are hoping to get our textual analyses completed and posted onto the website so that next week we can focus on our treatment.

On Thursday the 20th of September, we had to present our three concept choices. Through a powerpoint, we presented to the other groups, revealing the basic information about our top three film ideas. This was very helpful as we were able to decide which of these three we'll be making a trailer on based on the other group's feedback. After presenting, the members of the class voted for which one we should go with. As well as deciding on our film trailer idea, we were also able to see the other group's concepts and this was helpful as we learned that we must keep our concepts as simple as we can so that it won't be difficult to shoot and produce. On Friday's lesson we began constructing our treatment and discussed the fundamental factors regarding our chosen concept. We started thinking about what we would like to include in the trailer and how we will go about doing that, as well as making detailed character profiles and considering who we would cast and our location. Over the weekend, we are ensuring that all of our development stage tasks are ready to hand in for Tuesday's lesson.

Luckily everyone from the team were in on the 25th as this is the day that we assigned jobs to everyone for the pre-production stage. We decided that Richard would be in charge of the storyboard and animation as he is the most creative however once Andre is finished with his job - the treatment and the moodboard - he will join with Richard as the job is quite demanding and takes lots of work. Meanwhile, Isabel will be collecting data for our audience research so that we can hear what our target audience want and then apply this to our poster, magazine and trailer. Alethia is in charge of producing the mock ups for the movie magazine front cover and the poster. Today (the 27th), we continued with these jobs. Richard has arranged our trailer and together we have come up with captions. The audience research questions have been drafted up so we are ready to collect data and the treatment should be completed tomorrow. Unfortunately Alethia was absent for this lesson but the four first sketches should be done by the end of tomorrow's lesson.

We're all here today and despite the fact that we are all up-to-date and on task, we have discussed what needs to be done in today's lesson;-
- Andre is going to finish our treatment and take photos
- Alethia will continue the mock-ups, producing four sketches by the end of the lesson
- Richard will add more pictures to the site in order to make it more visual as well as 'tidy it up' a bit
- Isabel will begin collecting data for our audience research
As we have now settled into our groups, Sir advised us each to write down our honest opinion of each other so that we can approach and resolve any issues we may have as well as advise others. We did this by providing one negative quality as well as one positive quality for each of us and then discussing these openly - this way we can improve our working relationships and ensure that there are no problems.
